It was in 2000 when i went to the US to attend a training school in Muscatine Iowa. After my training i was able to visit my cousins in California. Spent weeks visiting one house after another. One thing i noticed, it's sort of customary for hosts to like go on leave from work and treat you out for grub and shopping. There was one time i was able to spend the night at my cousin Kuya Junior and Ate Amy's house. Again they brought me to mall for shopping and the kids took their turn. Jhonna and Ate Amy brought me to this buffet restaurant and Jon went with me to the Club called The Sound Factory in downtown San Francisco together with our other cousins. Jake the quiet one just stayed at home. The next day i was smoking in their garage he approached me and said "Kuya Gerry, pasensiya ka na di kita mailabas coz i'm savin up to buy my own car". Then handed over 30 or 50 bucks i think. I begged off and said "Nah you don't have to. Just having me over to your house is fine with me". But he insisted.
Aug 1, 2010 i got a text and a e-message from our other cousins that Jake was in a car accident which took his life. He was on his way home to his family. He was just married last May 2010.
Gone too soon Jessie Jake Bandiola. . . . . . . . gone too soon.
